Disciplinary Rules & Regulations
Rules and regulations for students, for the sake of the college's prestige and every student's safety.
- Students are expected to maintain decorum in their behaviour at all times.
- Students must attend all classes and maintain the attendance criteria laid down in the MJPRU Bareilly ordinance. A minimum of 75% attendance, separately in each subject, is compulsory to appear in the final exam. In case of deviation, the University has full right to detain a student from appearing in the exam.
- Participation in academic activities such as workshops and seminars is mandatory.
- Students are not allowed to leave the college campus without written permission from their class coordinator during teaching hours.
- Students are strictly prohibited from any act of violence, abuse or intimidation against any student, employee or faculty member. Decent, sincere and cordial conduct is expected toward classmates, faculty and other staff.
- Loitering in the campus is not allowed.
- Ragging is prohibited both inside and outside the campus. The Supreme Court of India has taken serious cognizance of ragging and issued strict instructions to eliminate it. Violators can face disciplinary and legal action, including a criminal case at the police station and expulsion from the college.
- Smoking, alcohol, gambling, chewing pan or gutka, and possession of such substances anywhere on campus, is strictly prohibited.
- Carrying any weapon, explosive or firearm inside the campus is strictly prohibited.
- Students must not engage in illegal, unethical or immoral activity inside or outside the campus, and will be liable for punishment under college rules if they do.
- Safety of personal valuables and belongings is the student's own responsibility.
- A student found responsible for loss or damage to college property must bear the cost.
- Adherence to the dress code is compulsory for allied campus activities, and students are expected to dress decently on campus generally.
- Every student is issued a non-transferable identity card, duly signed by the Chief Proctor.
- In case of any dispute, the college's decision is final and binding.
- The college may modify or change these rules from time to time, and any change is binding on students.
